Hi!

First let me thank you for your work.
[warning][/color:2690t6qr]Then ask to forgive my frenglish and my noobishism.
After years of basic&simple html work, just entered the php world…
Wasted lot of time trying to adapt some templates, realizing after nigth(s) of work that some part weren’t correct and/or compatible to ie6 (of course!), etc..[/warning][/color:2690t6qr]

Then discovered your generator! Alléluia!

Will come back with more specific questions for sure but for now I’m just testing and already having few (noob) questions (that could help others no0bz like me!):

-when using your generator on revolution the last option tells : "Add support for content gallery plugin?"
where can i find that help? how to activate that "image slide show" i can see on generated demo home page?

-are the [i:2690t6qr]recommended [/i:2690t6qr]plugin [i:2690t6qr]required[/i:2690t6qr] and actived to have such option (and/or others) working?

-it seems that when using dreamwaever to edit the css it change some stuff in it as the design do change.
I guess there must be some option to not allow dreamweaver to "change" the code. Maybe someone already know where is that option?

No link yet as it’s still under work and have to do some other work rigth now.
Will get back later.

Thanks again and best regards!

IF you are as noob as me you will be happy to know that found one more answer and much more!

-If like me you designed a free template with the revolution theme you have to download and activate the "featured content gallery" WordPress plugin.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/fea … t-gallery/

(Normally the official Revolution Church template  also need the "breadcrumb-navigation-xt" BUT it seems to provoke fatal errors with the pixo generated template.BUT it’s not a problem as there is already one include in generated template!…<img decoding=” title=”Smiley” />

Now I have 3 other questions that anyone not as noob could answer please:

-do someone know a nice tutorial link to configure "the featured category" in the revo-generated theme?

-regularly it seems that some plugin don’t ad new function in admin dashboard when supposed to: is  it a classical bug and a way to avoid it?

-last but not least : are the template done with the pixo generator (Revol theme) supposed to be fully operational or is it more like a demo to promote premium membership?

Thanks a lot in advance,
have nice times.

Yes, the breadcrumb navigation is implemented directly into the template generator themes. I didn’t see any point in having a plugin do exactly the same thing so I implemented the plugin directly into the theme code.

And yes, you need to download and install the featured content gallery plugin. I considered adding that into the theme code as well, but decided it was better to leave the development of that to the plugins developers as they are likely to add more features to their plugin than I would directly to the theme.

I don’t know anything about Dreamweaver. All text editors can edit CSS, you don’t need an expensive program to do that.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks a lot for your answer and confirmation!

Still about that revolution generated theme:

-I can’t find where and how to activate the thumbnail pictures that (i guess) should appear instead of the default pixo png.picture
(under the featured content gallery)
I did insert the code and link in post:
it works for the "big slide window" but not for the little one with the text  extract on front page…

-Also is it in the css that i can decide what category that will be on "homepage"? (under the FCG?)

-it seems that "featured content gallery" can’t work with WP e-commerce plugin (conflict about same code use)
BUT i read that some plugin can because they use "iframe" to avoid conflict…
Is there a way to do same with WP e-commerce?
Mean is there some code that could be added to the the php code to put it in an iframe?
I already can feel that this question is very noob but who knows?…

Have nice times,
best regards.

You can have a look on my try here:
http://underagroove.be/net/

NOTE : i’m working on it it can change at any moment, and some plugin might not be activated or in conflict during the test.

edit:
trying other template
will get back to pixo later

You just need to add a new custom field called ‘thumbnail’ and add the URL for an image there.

The default thumbnail can be replaced via the themes settings page.

No. That is controlled by the themes’ settings page.

That is odd, I didn’t realise WP e-Commerce used mootools which is what the Featured Content Gallery uses.

That is a very crude solution. But yes, you could do that. If you sign up for Premium Support (https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/premium_support costs is US$50/month) I’ll happily implement that for you but I don’t have time to do it for free sorry. Actually … I’d try to fix your problem first, it can probably be corrected by some improvements to the Featured Content Gallery plugin which would be a lot more elegant solution than using an iframe.

Hi Ryan!

Thanks a lot for your answers and infos!
For now i made a try with modicus using your pixo-menu in
look nice but still have some "slow upload page" problems…
(specially at first conexion/page..maybe it’s just my provider?)
http://underagroove.be/net/

For now i’ll try to finish that mixed version as deadline is too close
but after, will for sure come back to a full pixo template
which had [u:38q9o22y]not[/u:38q9o22y] such slow/delay page problems…

Thanks again and have nice times!
