I’ve been puzzled by the pixopoint-generated page.php. When I wanted to make my home-page for my site, I wanted this without a sidebar, as all my content-links are packed in the menu on the top. Since I want to have the possibility of making other pages within wordpress without sidebar, I want another page-template. However, I see no sidebar.php nor any connection to the sidebar in the page.php, and I can’t seem to get the functions.php fixed so only the home-page doesn’t show a sidebar…

Is it possible to remove the sidebar on a custom page-template or to remove the sidebar on the homepage only, if the custom template is too much of a hassle?

    Hi,
There is a ‘no-sidebars.php’ template file attached to the following forum post … https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/forum/http://local … 01#msg4101

Does that solve your problem? I’ll try to implement that extra template file into future releases, but I’m tied up with other work at the moment and don’t have time to do any updates sorry.

Does work, the sidebar disappears indeed.
But, now the header-image is gone too! I’m trying to get this fixed but I can’t seem to get it allright, when I put the get_header() back in, the whole page loads twice, including the sidebar <img decoding=” title=”Sad” />

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
The header should not disappear, if you post a link to the problem I’ll take a look. There is not much I can do to help unless I can see what is going on though.

Perhaps the following will fix your problem?

Works mighty fine, you’re my hero!
I believe this no-sidebars.php can be added to the template generator no prob, as it now works fine  <img decoding=” title=”Smiley” />

    Thanks!
