No page or post IDs

    I am using WordPress Version 2.6.2. It does not have page or posts IDs therefore I cannot exclude pages or posts from the Navigation bar? Am I missing something??

    WordPress 2.6.2 definitely had page ID’s. When you are in the ‘manage posts’ section, the links to the pages have the ID in them. I usually just hover over the name to get the ID. I stumbled across a handy way to grab the name of a category and convert it to it’s corresponding ID recently, so hopefully I can implement this with pages too for a new version of the plugin.

    Ryan, I have upgraded to 2.7. How do I find the post/page IDs now?

    Click on the ‘Pages’ link in the left sidebar in the admin panel. Then hover over the page you want. The URL for that link will look something like the following:

    [quote:1jvex81p]http://localhost/wordpress2/wp-admin/page.php?action=edit&post=21[/quote:1jvex81p]

    The number ’21’ is the ID. This works for pages, posts and categories.
