For some reason I can’t seem to save the menu contents in the new plugin on some sites. When I hit update, it just reverts to the default settings of "Home", "Pages" and "Search". However, this is only on a couple of sites that I run. I’m wondering if it’s something to do with me having run the older plugin for so long…
The original plugin works great for now.
December 24, 2009 at 1:35 am #7459imported_RyanMemberI have no idea what would be causing that problem sorry.
If you can hook me up with admin login access for one of the sites, I might be able to see what is going wrong, but otherwise I’m at a loss to explain that sort of thing happening:

Should have an email with the details already, otherwise just let me know and I’ll email you the login.
December 25, 2009 at 10:05 pm #7461imported_RyanMemberLogging in now …
December 25, 2009 at 10:08 pm #7462imported_RyanMemberIt appears to be working fine. What specifically is not working correctly? I thought it was the menu items not saving correctly, but I tried a bunch of them and it seemed to work exactly as expected.
December 27, 2009 at 4:51 pm #7463jsmokeMemberThe old multi-level plugin is working fine. I tried the new pixopoint one, and for some reason it’s not working on my setup.
If you enable the new plugin (disabling the old one, naturally), on the "Home" tab "Menu Contents" section, try to drag the "Home" and "Search" items from "Main menu items" to "Inactive menu items". Or try to make any changes at all, for that matter.
When you press "Update Options" it just resets back to having "Home", "Pages", and "Search" on the "Main menu items". I can’t get any changes via the drag and drop interface to work.
December 27, 2009 at 4:53 pm #7464jsmokeMemberOh, and I tried to check it out with Firebug and it wouldn’t play nice. Kept timing out. Not sure if that’s relevant.
I’m using Firefox. I’ll try it with some other browsers and see if I can get any different results.
December 27, 2009 at 11:46 pm #7465imported_RyanMemberInteresting to hear that you are specifically having trouble with Firefox. Someone sent me login details to try their site with yesterday as they were reporting the exact same problem. However I could not replicate their problem at all. It appeared to be working prefectly. However I was using Chrome, so maybe Firefox will trip whatever this bug is.
I have a vague theory that maybe Firefox is not copying the necessary text into a hidden field on the page. I don’t have time right now, but I’ll test it later tonight to see if I can replicate it.
December 28, 2009 at 12:06 am #7466imported_RyanMemberI’ve tested it on the other site in Firefox and it appears to be working fine in that browser as well.
There is clearly a problem here as I think you are the third person to report it, but without a way to replicate it I don’t think I can fix it ” title=”Sad” />
December 28, 2009 at 12:11 am #7467imported_RyanMemberOh hang on, you sent me details above.
Now I’m really confused, as I checked your site originally and it was working fine. But now you are saying that the PixoPoint Menu plugin was causing the problem, not the Multi-level Navigation plugin, but it was the Multi-level Navigation plugin you were using when I checked.
I went to check your site now and I see you are still running the Multi-level navigation plugin.
