Unfortunately, without having access to your backend I can’t really diagnose the issue for you. I can say that it works perfectly fine with every single nightly I tried of the WordPress 2.7 beta (and even RC 1) at least when using the FF 3.1 nightly builds (and I think I used the official FF 3.0.3 and IE 7 and IE 6 too), which is why I think something else must be at fault (Again it sounds like the tabber.js just isn’t loading for some reason).
To help diagnosis, short of you giving one of us access to your WP backend, could you possibly check the error console in FF immediately after accessing the settings menu? (I’d recommend you clear the log out before you do this, just to make it easier, and also tell it to show all). Firebug might also help diagnose the issue.
December 9, 2008 at 12:25 pm #4146AnonymousMemberHello,
I’ve just tried this beta version as well as the stable version on WordPress MU and neither allow the suckerfish options to be updated, as per this thread: https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/forum/index.php?topic=480.0
I tried the advice given on that page but got the same negative results as also described on that page. Options still can’t be updated.
Let me know if I can help fix this.
Thanks
JossDecember 10, 2008 at 1:44 am #4147AnonymousMemberJust to let you know, I have been using your modification? rewrite? of Multi-level Navigation plugin on one major site, and am planning on having it in several other sites in the near future.
It works flawlessly with WP2.7 K2 FF3 IE7, and kindof breaks upa bit with IE6, probably because of my tinkering and misunderstanding of what I can’t break.
I do look forward to a refined / cleaned up backend.
*one note* I don’t think it’s possible to select "0" speed and still have drop shadows and arrows showing through.
December 10, 2008 at 3:53 am #4148wanderMemberanother "issue" that I have found is with jQuery Lightbox Plugin (balupton edition)
What happens is that the entire wordpress page goes to dark colour for background, while the "entire menu bar" stays at full brightness, but it is behind the picture, it just doesn’t pay attention to the brightness levels it should be turning to.
December 10, 2008 at 4:09 am #4149dredMemberworks great on a fresh install of the WordPress 2.7-RC2. Both ie and ff work fine. only thing i found was that i had to rename the plug-in folder from multi-level-navigation-plugin-v14 to multi-level-navigation-plugin.
keep up the great work guyz your on fire! ” title=”Smiley” />
December 10, 2008 at 6:43 am #4150imported_RyanMemberThanks for the input everyone.
I’m flat out busy trying to iron bugs out of our new template generator … https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/generator/?generator=on so don’t have time to work on the plugin right now.
Joss – If you can figure out what the problem is I’d love to hear. I have no experience whatsoever with WordPress Mu so not sure what the problem could be. Conor seemed to think he had found a solution, but I haven’t had a chance to look into it/test it.
December 10, 2008 at 7:48 pm #4151malcalevakModeratorSince I saw a lot of posts here today I thought I’d throw out that I’ve been unfortunately busy lately, so I haven’t really had a chance to look into anything. Hopefully I will have some time soon, though.
I’m glad to see dred was successful in using the beta, it further lends weight to my suspicion that there’s something interfering with yohanesw’s install, but until he gives an update I dunno.
December 15, 2008 at 11:30 pm #4152dredMemberwhen i activate the pb-embedflash plug-in the menu dropdown fade stops working.
however I fixed it by going into the pb-embedflash and turning off Shadowbox & Popup.
The menu system in the admin screens are a great improvement.
could there be an option to remove the drop down arrows?

December 16, 2008 at 5:22 am #4153imported_RyanMemberThe official version will not have the dropdown arrows, or at least not by default anyway.
December 19, 2008 at 12:38 am #4154dredMemberdefo lookin forward to the official version.
December 29, 2008 at 7:24 pm #4155malcalevakModeratorJust in case someone was watching this thread, I’ve released an updated beta for testing. Admittedly I’m not sure how many of the concerns brought up here were addressed
@dred – I did add an option to turn the drop down arrows on and off. I also haven’t a clue why pd-embedlfash caused issue, if you’ve got an example site I’ll take a look at it.
@wander – you mention setting "0" speed, are you doing this manually since the built in options are slow, normal, and fast, all of which appear to work fine for me with drop shadows and arrows? And in regards to the lightbox plugin, can you provide an example site? My suspicion is that it might be a z-index issue, but I really need more to work with and don’t have time to set everything up. -
