    Hey Ryan,

your plugin is awesome but unfortunately it’s not showing the submenus in IE 6 and 7 <img decoding=” title=”Sad” />

Would be really great if you can find out what the problem would be. I’m using WP 2.5.1 and this is the link to the website:

    http://www.lasvegas-doubledeckerbus.com/careunited/

on the left sidebar it should show on some links the submenus when I go over it. In Firefox it works just fine.

    Appreciate your help

    Hi,
It looks like you are using the beta version of the plugin. A few of those versions had a bug which prevented the javascript from rendering on the page. If you upgrade to the new version it should correct that problem. IE6 needs the javascript to function correctly and won’t show the dropdown without it.

Actually … the reason I thought you were using a beta plugin turns out to not be true. I  just forgot to update the text in the style.php file which is why I thought you had an old version. I checked your readme.txt file now though and it seems you are running the current version … very weird.

    Hey Ryan,

thanks for the quick answer, so what could be the reason then? Is it the missing javascript? I thought I don’t have to do anything about it since it is automatically in the WordPress plugin included and I have wp_head in my theme.

In my plugin list, it’s also showing a widget Multi-level Navigation Plugin Widget and saying it’s an old version. But I guess that is the newest version and you just forgot to update the version number. Right now it says 0.1. When I activate the widget my admin goes blank. So I deactivate it again. Just FYI.

By the way, I just testet the website with some other templates and it worked most of the time with them in IE. So it looks like it’s a template problem I face right now <img decoding=” title=”Sad” /> . Any hint what it can be? I use the dirtylicious template http://templates.arcsin.se/dirtylicious … ess-theme/

    Thanks a lot Ryan!

    Hi,
I have a bad feeling something is wrong with the plugin. I need to inspect further …

    #3160

Oh crud, there is indeed something drastically wrong with the plugin.

How on earth did no one notice this?

I have WAY too much stuff to do right now and it’s nearly midnight here right now, but I’ll try to get a new version uploaded within the next hour.

Sorry for any problems this may have caused … I’m still amazed no one else noticed this till now, it’s a pretty major bug I added.

I’ve fixed the bug and will upload a new version shortly. It only happened when the keyboard JS file wasn’t loaded, but I always activate that option so never noticed.

This is a very serious bug, so thanks for bringing it to my attention.

New version (1.0.1) has now been uploaded.

On second look, I can see where the problem crept in. If you had activated the keyboard access JS file, then deactivated it, then it would have worked fine, but if you had never activated it, then the IE JS file wouldn’t hav loaded.

Apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused. I’m still baffled as to how no one picked up on this massively glaring anomaly til now. I’d seen a few sites which didn’t have the plugin running, but assumed they’d done something weird to their code to cause the problem, but apparently not.

That is a file from one of the beta versions. It shouldn’t be in the latest version (you need to delete the file to get rid of it, hence you still have it). It won’t cause any harm sitting there so unless you want to get rid of it from your plugins page, you can just leave it.

The file name is suckerfish_widget.php I think (it’s in your multi-level-navigation-plugin folder).

    Hey Ryan,

thank you for your super fast work. But I activated the keyboard access JS and it works in IE now <img decoding=” title=”Smiley” />

I was confused when I downloaded the new version 1.01. It only contains index.php, readme and style.php files. I guess you forgot the other ones you didn’t change, right?

I uploaded the 3 new files and the dropdown doesn’t work in IE suddenly, only with the old ones and keyboard access JS activated.

Also, the download link on your homepage is still going to your 1.0 file. Just FYI.

Hope you had a great sleep

I’m getting the same problem here. It works fine in Firefox, but not IE. The fly out sub menus wont show, with or without the keyboard option checked.

    I have V 1.0.1

Have been watching this and also wanted to say thanks much for the quick work.

I had the same problem and activating the keyboard worked without using new version.

    Thanks again…(http://philadelphiarealestatehub.com)

Oh heck, something went horridly wrong during the SVN upload and it has deleted all the old files <img decoding=” title=”Sad” />

I can’t fix this for another four hours. Sorry about this <img decoding=” title=”Sad” />

It seems I’ve been misunderstanding how the SVN system works and it caused only the modified files to be uploaded this time. I’ve set it up correctly now and it should (in theory) work now. I haven’t changed the version number since it’s exactly the same, just with the missing files. If you downloaded Version 1.0.1 and over wrote those files on top of the 1.0 version then you don’t need to re-download it, the only files which were missing hadn’t changed anyway.

Steve – I can’t help without a link to your site unfortunately.
