Hi Ryan,
I am using your menu (again) and am looking forward to using the new version. I seem to be having a problem with IE6 — very similar to what people were describing in this post: https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/forum/http://local … ic.php?t=7
The menu *looks* fine in IE6, but the hover and drop downs aren’t appearing. The site is bare bones at this point, but you can check it out at preview.41sportsfitnessbootcamps.com
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
RhayaJanuary 22, 2009 at 12:26 am #4846imported_RyanMemberHi,
I can’t immediately see any reason why it wouldn’t work. I don’t have a copy of IE6 at hand to test on, but I’ll try to remember to take a look tonight. If I don’t reply within the next 12 hours then I probably just forgot so feel free to bug me about it.January 22, 2009 at 12:29 am #4847rhayaMemberThanks Ryan, I haven’t had this problem on previous versions of your plugin, so I thought I would ask. By the way, I don’t know how you test in IE, but I have a friend who developed an awesome browser pack for testing purposes… More here: http://rhaya.com/217
January 22, 2009 at 4:06 am #4848AnonymousMemberSame thing over here. Something odd going on. I swear it worked for a few minutes, now it doesn’t.
Using Virtual PC with XPSP3 and IE6 for testing.
January 22, 2009 at 4:23 am #4849imported_RyanMemberHi Rhaya,
I run Vista so need to use virtual XP to run the IE standalones. My Virtual XP doesn’t seem to work with the proxy I’m using right now hence I can’t access your site.Johnny Smoke – I can’t figure out what is wrong without a link to your site.
January 22, 2009 at 3:10 pm #4850rhayaMemberHi Ryan,
I work on a Mac and have a PC for testing purposes, so I don’t totally understand your response. Is there something I can do to either help you access my site? Or if you want to email me, I can send you the html, css, etc.If this goes above and beyond your free support, let me know and I can make a suggested donation for your help.
Thanks,
RhayaJanuary 23, 2009 at 12:32 am #4851imported_RyanMemberNo, I just couldn’t be bothered configuring my virtual PC to work with the proxy I was on. I’m sure it is possible, but it is just time consuming so I’ve waited till now when I have direct internet access. I’ll be back shortly after I’ve taken a look.
January 23, 2009 at 12:34 am #4852rhayaMemberThanks Ryan. Hopefully it’s a quick fix. Thanks in advance for taking a look…
January 23, 2009 at 12:42 am #4853imported_RyanMemberIt’s a bug. I’ll upload a new version ASAP which will fix this problem.
January 23, 2009 at 12:43 am #4854imported_RyanMemberNew version will be available here in a few minutes … http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/m … .1.7.4.zip
January 23, 2009 at 12:46 am #4855rhayaMemberThanks Ryan.
I can’t say it enough — this plugin (and your support) is really great.
January 23, 2009 at 12:52 am #4856imported_RyanMemberWould help if I didn’t break stuff that I’d already brokent though!
January 23, 2009 at 1:11 am #4857rhayaMemberUh oh… I am still not seeing the hover or the dropdowns in IE6. Am I missing something? preview.41sportsfitnessbootcamps.com
January 23, 2009 at 3:14 am #4858rhayaMemberHi again,
I ended up switching back to a previous version that I had on hand so that I can get the menu showing in IE6. (Ryan, I sent you an email via the contact form regarding paid support. If you think that is required to get the new version working for me in IE6, just let me know.)
Thanks for all your help,
RhayaJanuary 25, 2009 at 12:24 am #4859imported_RyanMemberHi,
I’ve been super busy the past two days and haven’t time to reply.Unfortunately I can’t really help without seeing a live example of it. And since you haven’t changed it back to the old version there is nothing for me to see ” title=”Sad” />
Are you able to setup a test installation perhaps? Or maybe you could activate the new version, save the HTML, then flick back to the old version? If you posted the HTML I [i:329a1c6l]may[/i:329a1c6l] be able to work out what the problem is just from that.
