    Hi –

I’d like to eliminate the "home" menu item on the list that the multi-level-navigation plugin creates. I can point you to my code and css if desired, but hopefully, there will be a clean and simple fix for this.

    Thanks!

Have you visited the admin page for the plugin yet? You can remove the home link from there, unless of course it’s a page, in which case you need to exclude the pages ID via the same settings page.

Oh, yes, of course. Thanks for the reminder, Ryan.

    It is a common mistake <img decoding=” title=”Tongue” />

You need to go to your WordPress dashboard.

    Settings

    Multi-level  Navigation plugin

    Appearance

(Setting is where you can change what you have in your menu)

This is where you past the new CSS code, from the Multi-level Menu CSS navigation page.

Take the old code and save it on a word doc just in case you need it later. But delete it from the Appearance box and copy/paste the new code, then save it. Then you just have to change the font size and line height in new CSS code. (the one you just paste/copy into the Appearance box). I changed my font from 18px to 10px and the line height from 40px to 20px, and it fit my menu drop down just fine

Thanks Trish, but your reply does not appear to have anything to do with the posters question.

For what it’s worth, I would NEVER have found the Settings thing were it not for Trish’s post!!!  I kept looking at the Plugin itself, and its Edit link, thinking there was something wrong with my setup.  I, and I suspect many other newbies, made the entirely rational assumption that the Plugin was configured from within the Plugins menu ;-)

I’m the first to admit that I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer, though!
    Happy Holidays!

It’s fairly rare for plugins to place their settings pages in the plugins menu. The settings menu is generally where most of them are put, and for specific features the settings pages are some times placed into other menus but rarely in the plugins menu itself (in my experience). Some even insert their settings inside existing pages, although that is a lot less common.
