I have WordPress with the Multi-level Navigation Plugin.
I created a form that I only want people to see that I give that exact URL to in an email. When I create a "Page" it appears in my navigation, and I want to hide it unless someone types in the exact URL. I also tried creating a "post" but it also appears in my lists of recent posts on the home page and I do not want it to display.
I tried to "exclude" post categories and also to exclude "page" in the navigation plug in controls, but am not sure if I type in the name of the page or the URL. Either does not see to work.
Is there a way to create a Category and exclude it from appearing on my Blog, but allow users that know the URL to posts in that category access it. I do not want to make it Private because then everyone needs to be a member and I do not have membership on my blog.
Thanks,

I am trying to hide everything now in one of my categories. ID 12 is the category ID and I typed that in my navigation plugin version 2.2.1 but that category is still displaying in my list of the ten most recent posts on my homepage.

May 19, 2010 at 1:35 am #8383AnonymousMemberthis answer worked a treat for excluding a page from the Pixo Point Multi Level Navigation.
I was using the page name, but as soon as I used the page ID then it worked instantly

June 18, 2010 at 12:36 am #8385rwhaunMemberI’ve got a similar issue. I know if I put a page’s ID and select "Exclude" it no longer shows up in the Pages dropdown. However, when I do that it doesn’t hide that page’s sub-pages. They end up getting thrown into the main menu. I found that by excluding the parent page ID, and then all it’s subpages’ IDs, and then all their subpages’ IDs, I can exclude them all. However this is getting unwieldy and takes away from the nice dynamic features of WordPress.
Any ideas on how to easily exclude a parent page AND all the pages under it?

I am fumbling newb but used the "Restore Post ID" to get the post id, then I just comma separated the page and sub page I wanted to exclude. Worked.
