Got it working but only kind of

Could someone please take a look at the red pic in the left side bar?  When it’s clicked it shows up as a whole page immediately, not gradually like the others I have seen.

To get the link in my sidebar I’m placing the link in a post, then clicking "html" and then copying the text and pasting in a sidebar text widjet.  When I select the pic and I need to add the links URL, that URL should be the URL of the fullsize pic?

I’ve only been using WP for the last two weeks and am totally unfamiliar with PHP, most HTML ETC.

In your case the easiest fix is to just turn on auto-load.
