Hi Ryan. Congrats on exactly what I have been looking for. I have it installed locally but there seems to be no way of getting out of the pages to the Dashboard or anywhere else… As I am very new to this I don’t know what to expect so this may be a silly question. If this is not clear can you ask a question or two that might clear up the confusion.
April 25, 2008 at 1:02 pm #2484imported_RyanMemberJust add /wp-admin/ to your sites URL. ie: my site is at https://ryan.hellyer.kiwi/ and my admin panel is at https://ryan.hellyer.kiwi/wp-admin/.
There is no administration link on the page, you will need to add that to the theme file manually if you want that feature.
April 25, 2008 at 1:05 pm #2485AnonymousMemberThanks Ryan. As I am reasonably familiar/comfortable with html and css I am not too concerned at making changes at the source level, but at this stage am trying to gain familiarity with all of the facilities that the Dashboard offers me. I have installed your theme and both of your two plugins. I cannot see how I create a second level in the menu, i.e. create a page 2a at one level lower in the hierarchy and within page 2. Am I missing the facility? Are you proposing to add any tutorials on how to implement simple enhancement to the basic site structure, as next steps for a beginner such as I? Thanks for your patience and time from a fellow Kiwi.
April 25, 2008 at 1:12 pm #2486AnonymousMemberHi Ryan. Ignore my query regarding creating second level pages as I have it sussed. This is exciting!!! My final query on my previous post still stands tho.
BrianApril 25, 2008 at 1:14 pm #2487imported_RyanMemberFor anyone else out there who wants to know the answer to Brians question regarding second level dropdowns, you can add extra pages to the dropdown via the “Page Parentâ€
April 25, 2008 at 1:16 pm #2488AnonymousMemberNot for the Blog preferably.
Hi Ryan. Thanks for reply. I live on the Whangaparaoa peninsula which sticks out to the East about 20 miles north of Aucland. If you are ever up this way I have a free spare room which could make a trip to this part of the country more economic than otherwise. BTW did you realise that your web host allows anyone access to your files. You may not want this. I will be checking your site each day for anything new from you regarding your Simple CMS. Kind Regards, Brian.April 25, 2008 at 1:16 pm #2489AnonymousMemberRyan,

Just in case you were unaware of the situation, which is not necessarily a problem.
Brian.April 25, 2008 at 1:17 pm #2490imported_RyanMemberThanks for the accommodation offer ” title=”Smiley” />
I don’t think I’ll be up that way any time soon but I’ll keep it in mind!
I thought I’d left some sort of security hole open when I saw your first comment so hurredly checked my .htaccess and CHMOD settings, but they’re fine … whew!
That’s not my host that left https://ryan.hellyer.kiwi/test/ open for viewing, that was me. I often forget the URL’s so find it handy to have access to them all from that folder. They’re just my test sites mainly, so nothing particularly exciting to be seen in there.
