Dropdown not showing (not z-order related)

The dropdown menu is not showing for my subpages, which I am suspecting is caused by some coding issue with the theme I am using (Ships Ahoy).  When I switch to another theme the dropdown menu shows fine.  I am not sure why this is not working though, any assistance would be appreciated!

Plugin version: 2.2.1
Browser version: Any, but I was using IE 6.
Wordpress version: 2.8.6
CSS modification: slightly, just colors, z-order, width/sizing
Menu: Sub pages should appear under "Courses" and "Our Storytellers".

No idea sorry.

If it’s a theme issue, then presumably the theme is doing something odd to the wp_list_pages() function, so perhaps do a search through your files for the text "wp_list_pages". If you don’t understand the code, feel free to post it here for me to look at.
