The CSS used in the above demo was created with the premium version of the CSS generator and shows red highlights for the current page and blue highlights with a litle ‘>’ symbol for page parents/ancestors.
If you navigate to one of the dropdown pages, you will see that you can track from the top, down through the menu to the current page.
Note: this doesn’t work as well when using some features of the Multi-level Navigation Plugin. In particular, if you go to one of the category dropdowns, you may notice that the top level item (‘Categories’) is not highlighted even if you are on a page corresponding to something in that dropdown. It does work fine for basic ‘Pages’ dropdowns though and will work fine for custom coded menus which can display the appropriate CSS class for the page parent/ancestors.
