I thought I used this plugin in the past and there were several configuration options for what was included in the navigation menu. i.e. some included pages and categories, some only showed pages, others had a link to blog, etc… but I don’t see any options in yours at all — YET the live examples are indeed showing more than just the default shows. Are they all doing hacks like your response to Nicole?? Or am I confusing your plugin with a different one?
April 24, 2008 at 10:18 am #2300imported_RyanMemberyou definitely have the correct plugin. However I assume you are using an older version of the plugin which does not have the options in the admin panel to control what is on the page.
You can either upgrade to the new plugin, or keep using the old one. The content of the dropdowns can be partially controlled by altering the function used in your theme.
The old options are:
suckerfish(); – same as current
suckerfish1();
suckerfish2();
suckerfish3();
suckerfish4();
suckerfish5();April 24, 2008 at 3:57 pm #2301AnonymousMemberThanks, I didn’t see the options page . But now I’m having a major problem.
The menu is not showing up in IE6! http://abundantharvest.biz
April 24, 2008 at 3:57 pm #2302AnonymousMemberI have a temporary fix to get the menu to show in IE 6 by surrounding the menu with a and giving it a _height: 50px… but it is not hovering or showing the dropdowns.
Obviously it is something with the theme I am using, but I’m not sure what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
April 24, 2008 at 3:57 pm #2303imported_RyanMemberIt’s not something to do with your theme, it has something to do with the CSS you are using for the dropdown. Have you modifed it? Or is it straight out of the dropdown generator?
April 24, 2008 at 3:58 pm #2304imported_RyanMemberThe problem you have found seems to be quite serious. The only way I’ve managed to fix it is by using a different Javascript file. I’m in the process of updating the plugin and a new version which should correct the problem – hopefully.
Sorry about this problem. I’m surprised no one had discovered it before.
April 24, 2008 at 4:04 pm #2305imported_RyanMemberI’ve added a link to your site in the credits section. This will appear on WordPress.org shortly – I’m in the process of updating the plugin repository right now.
April 24, 2008 at 4:08 pm #2306AnonymousMemberRyan, first off, your plugin is what I’ve been looking for for a long time.
Secondly, I’d noticed the same IE6 problems; however, since your Online Suckerfish Dropdown CSS generator works with IE6, I figured it was something I had done on my end. Now I’m glad to see I’m not crazy.
Thirdly, in your latest update, you forgot to update the version number in the actual plugin file (line 7 should read Version: 1.6.2, not Version 1.6.1).
Thanks again!
April 24, 2008 at 4:08 pm #2307AnonymousMemberThank you so much! It’s working now ” title=”Smiley” />
(And no, I hadn’t changed the CSS from the generator…other than color and padding tweaks.)
Thank you for your quick response!April 24, 2008 at 4:09 pm #2308imported_RyanMemberMichael – Darn it! That’s what happens when I try to fix bugs in a hurry. I didn’t have long to fix the bug last night and must have missed that. I’ll correct it tonight.
This would explain why the official WordPress repository wasn’t updating itself. I was a bit baffled by that.
