Is there something that I haven’t explained properly?

I’m a little baffled as to what is confusing about this, but clearly I’m doing something wrong as this is a very frequent question which is brought up.

For the lastest beta version I’ve added in some example code so that people can see how the code works. Do you think that will be enough? Or is there something else I could do to make this more clear?

I’m finding it a little difficult to respond to some of these questions without sounding condescending. It’s hard to tell people that I don’t believe them when they insist that they need [b:194x67yg]more[/b:194x67yg] custom code items. I would much rather make it obvious from the beginning, but clearly I’m not doing a very good job of that <img decoding=” title=”Tongue” />

I think what happens is that we think each custom code item makes one button. We do not realize right away that each one is a container for code and it can make many many buttons.

    THANKS

Yeah, I realised that’s what’s happening, but I just don’t know how to explain it any better than I have done already <img decoding=” title=”Sad” />

We don’t read docs well either. We just are happy to find what we searched for and just jump into it without understanding .. that’s what I did anyway.

I always figure if a piece of software is written well enough, it shouldn’t require docs as it should be obvious how it works straight out of the box. I guess in this particular case that’s not going to be possible since most users of the plugin don’t seem to know a lot about HTML.
