Complete Layman Tutorials?

Hi, thanks for providing a support forum for this great plugin. I’ve seen it in action and it looks great. I want to use it on my blog but I have absolutely zero background in coding. None whatsoever.

Does anyone here know of any tutorials or step by step instructions that will break it down into complete moron speak? I know it’s a long shot but think of it as a charity case.

You don’t need to do any coding whatsoever, it’s all laid out in an easy to use interface, the codes been taken care of for you.

I am hoping to eventually get a tutorial/F.A.Q. in place soon, though.

For now just install and activate the plugin, and access the settings from the settings dropdown in 2.7, on the lower left.

Thanks, I couldn’t find where it was. Really I should say my problem doesn’t come from the plugin, but from a weak understanding of creating wordpress posts.

But that wouldn’t be a question for this forum.

Okay so, I created a gallery of images in a post. Slimbox is set to automatically do it’s thing. Each thumbnail will open in slimbox but they don’t navigate between each other. The next and previous tabs don’t appear.

Then the next post I made using the same method, works, and the tabs appear. I can’t figure out why just this one post won’t navigate properly.

Actually, now the second one won’t work anymore. Why do the Next and previous tabs intermittently decide to quit working?

I suspect your issue is another case of a theme not supporting the page/post class.

That said, I might be able to resolve it by creating a set of selectable classes/tags/ids whatever, to create the grouping.

That said, I haven’t a clue why it would intermittently show next and previous tabs on the same page. The only think I can think of to ask is if you edited the page at all, between it working and it not working, or if you changed the theme on the page.

In the mean time, you can try the suggestion I posted elsewhere about adding a [code:y5znf312]<div class="post">...inserted gallery content...</div>[/code:y5znf312]
to get the gallery effect desired.

That bit of code fixed it.

I may just find a new theme, I haven’t invested any time into modifying this one so it wouldn’t be a loss.

Or I can just use this code every time.
