Getting white background, with word’s False written across it.

have CSS inline. This particular host will not execute style.php

Menu’s works fine in Firefox and Safari, and seem to work fine on XP. Vista is not working.

Your menu works fine in Vista (which I’d expect since the OS has little to do with the browser) and I can’t see the word false anywhere (it’s not even in the source code).

Oops, I missed the bit about IE7 in the topic title. I don’t have access to IE7 right now but I will in a couple of hours. I’ll take a look then.

I can’t see any reason why you would get the word ‘false’ showing up though as it is nowhere in the source code.

    Hi Ryan:

If you search the forums, other folks have reported that they are getting the white background with the word false across it

    IE:
    https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/forum/http://local … ic.php?t=1
"It sort of worked when I enabled the superfish mode but it had <b>"false"</b> written across the background for some reason so I disabled it."

    https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/forum/http://local … ic.php?t=2
"Thank you for your help. That fixed the FF problem, but we are still getting the white background showing <b>False in IE7</b>, as shown in the 2 files I attached to the initial message."

    https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/forum/http://local … ic.php?t=3
<b>NOTE:</b> this post was never replied to.

"have also found that on some versions of IE7 the menu displays fine and on others you get the white background with <b>false</b>. IE7 on my Vista machine gives the problem, but on a Windows XP system it is fine."

I will be happy to provide you with whatever you need including premium support payment.

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I remembered back to some of the posts after hitting submit. I’m guessing there is some sort of javascript clash somewhere. I’ll see what I can figure out when I get home in a few hours.

If you sign up for the premium support I’ll head home early to work on it though <img decoding=” title=”Smiley” /> If I can’t figure it out I’ll be happily to refund you – it should be fixable though.

Let me know what you figure out… thanks for the quick reply.

It works fine in IE7 in XP and in IE8beta2 in Vista. However, when I switched to compatibility mode in IE8beta2 in Vista I could see the problem. I don’t have an IE7 on Vista to test on (I never thought I would have a use for it until now).

I’ll see if I can figure out what the problem is and be back here shortly.

This has to be one of the weirdest problems I’ve seen in a while.

    Hi,
There seems to be a problem associated with the animated dropdowns.

I’ll probably have a fix available within a few weeks. If you need it before then, just sign up for our premium support and I’ll either figure out a way to fix your existing menu, create a custom plugin just for you or I’ll fast track development of the new beta plugin (which will eventually have a fix for this issue).

Right now I have disabled the animation effects and it has fixed the problem. The client prefers to wait until you have addressed this in your next release.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
I haven’t bothered to fix this in the next release, but I’ll see what I can figure out for the one after that.
