Seperators and placement…

Is it possible for us to add Seperators or some sort of line of dash in between each item menu on the navigation bar?

Example:

Home  About  Contact Us  Forums

changes to

Home – About – Contact Us – Forums

or

Home | About | Contact Us | Forums

Another thing…is it possible to keep all of the things on the left and then for the "Control Panel" section, shift that all the way to the right.  I suppose this can be controlled by a float code?
