When trying to change the code of a custom menu item and posting the change I get a fatal error message.
My site is hosted on 1&1.com, I suspect this is a problem in the hosting side since this worked when I was testing hosted on my local computer.

Does anyone know where and what I can change in the files of the menu plug-in to prevent this from happening.

    Best Regards

file_put_contents() is not used by any of our plugins to alter "custom menu item"’s, so I assume this has something to do with some other piece of software.

it turns out that the hosting provider had php4 installed for this domain.
The hosting has been upgrade to php5 and not the problem is solved.

AFAIK all of our plugins should work with PHP4, so this would have been presumably caused by another plugin or your theme.

You might want to check php4 compatibility once again but then again this could related tot he WordPress functionality or something like that.

My theme is VERY simple (believe me I do not know how to do anything complicate) so I am sure it is not that and I have no other pluggins on my site just the pixopoint for menus.
managing pages and content on the site worked fine and only pressing the update button from the setting of this pluggin caused a problem when using PHP4.

Oh, I see. file_put_contents() only works with PHP5.

I’m guessing you are using the latest beta version of the PixoPoint Menu plugin?

    Thanks <img decoding=” title=”Smiley” /> I’ll add a notice to the next version saying that it’s only PHP5 compatible.
