Hi,

I already have a fully working menu on another site so thought I would add it to my personal site and am now running into problems and would appreciate some ideas please.

The site is: http://landroveroneten.com

The issue I am seeing is that the menu is not showing any child pages (with either the arrow mark up or drop down on hover) [b:1aln04fr]unless[/b:1aln04fr] I navigate to the parent page and then I see the arrow and the child pages in the menu.

For example: "General" has child parents but I can’t get to them unless I click on General and then the menu has a drop down displaying the child pages.

I also seem unable to remove a page from the menu. I want to remove the online shop and have added the ID to the exclude list but it is still showing.

The only thing that I can think of that is causing this is that I am running isapi rewrite from http://www.isapirewrite.com/

Beyond that my little brain has run out of ideas!

thanks for your help.

Ok,

I have found out what was causing the drop down menus to not show unless I was on the parent page and it was a plugin clash.

The plugin in question is: eShop
Plugin Page: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eshop/
Author HomePage: http://quirm.net/

After deactivating this plugin, I now have the drop down menus.

What I can’t do is stop pages from showing in the menu.

I have added a comma deliminated list of Page ID’s to the exclude field but they are still showing.

I have also tested this on the default theme and experience the same issues.

Thanks for the image, that made my job of figuring out the problem much easier

You put the list of page ID’s into the wrong box, you need to put them in the "IDs to include or exclude" box, not the "Page URLs to exclude" box. It’s not as obvious as it should be, sorry about that.

I have the exact problem.

I would really like to have eShop links (Shopping Cart, Checkout, etc) to be in pixopoint submenu under a page I created, "Camp Store".

I deactivated eShop and now the pixopoint menu works with drop down. I’ve tried to reactivate the eShop and go to pixopoint settings to exclude the page ID following Ryan’s comment:

"You put the list of page ID’s into the wrong box, you need to put them in the "IDs to include or exclude" box, not the "Page URLs to exclude" box. It’s not as obvious as it should be, sorry about that."

That didn’t work. I’m using permalinks, so I don’t know if this is the problem?

I’ll try to figure it out and get back to you on that – If I can solve it.

@Merlin – try posting a screenshot like Digitalessence did. Permalinks are unrelated to this problem.
