I have used the Multi-level Navigation Plugin for my site. Now, i need to remove the link from few of the main (parent) navigation links that have drop down (child) pages. As the main page does not have any content to display, it opens up a blank page without any content.
Can anyone help me with this?January 29, 2010 at 11:25 pm #7840wanderMemberI’m in the same boat.
Ideally it would be nice to be able to make it go "nowhere" / # OR be able to tell it to go to an arbitrary page.I ended up making some entries into .htaccess with permanent redirects
I’m not sure how you would do this with the plugin though.
Could there be some kind of custom code which hooks into the plugin?
"If it’s this ID, then do this"…
I don’t know.January 30, 2010 at 9:07 am #7841imported_RyanMemberYou can’t do that with the Multi-level Navigation Plugin.
If you upgrade to the PixoPoint Menu plugin you will be able to though:

I didn’t understand what this field was for.IDs of URLs to exclude
what about rewording it to something like
1: ID’s of URLs to disable
2: ID’s of menu-items to disable
3: disable URL in menu with IDOnce you know what your’s means, it makes sense, but it made no sense to me til now!
Personally I like #3 because the word "disable" is first… right away you know what it’s about.
I find the wording of yours "exclude" to be a bit confusing because the word "exclude" is just above as well, and I thought they were duplicates, or just a secondary field you could use.

Any advice?

What specifically doesn’t work.

Here’s my configuration, where I exclude the links of the ID’s 2,4,38. But when you check the webpage the links are still working. http://www2.dec.isec.pt/jfsao%5B/url:33w9uw01%5DTo be clear, I wish to remove the link from the parents on the nav (the ones that have at least one child).
I’m doing something wrong?
March 9, 2010 at 3:02 am #7846imported_RyanMemberIf you have added the ID’s for those parents, then those URLs should definitely be removed.
March 9, 2010 at 3:04 am #7847imported_RyanMemberIt also appears that you aren’t loading the menu here … http://www2.dec.isec.pt/jfsao/
The plugin is activated, but the menu itself is not generated via the plugin.March 11, 2010 at 9:52 pm #7848AnonymousMemberryan hello

March 18, 2010 at 3:24 pm #7850antgodMemberI re-installed everything to see if it was working but after activating the plugin again it doesn’t.
March 20, 2010 at 12:53 am #7851imported_RyanMemberYou still don’t have the plugin installed on the link you posted above though.
I’m not sure what your problem could be. I’d need to see in your admin panel to figure out what is going wrong. If you trust me with your login details you could send them to the address on this page … https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/contact/
