Localization has been supported by WP-Slimbox2 since v.0.9.4.
Since then, users such as nv1962, Laws, and Jandry have provided translations in Spanish, Dutch, German and French! We greatly appreciate their contribution.
If you’d like to provide a translation, please post in this thread and we’ll get you started.

April 2, 2010 at 4:34 am #7636malcalevakModeratorThat’s great, Marcis. Hopefully I’ll be able to release it soon, along with a Chinese translation.
Thanks for your contribution!
April 9, 2010 at 5:26 pm #7637malcalevakModeratorMarcis,
I tried contacting you by e-mail, but since I hadn’t heard back I’ll post here.
I noticed your translation appears to be for an older version of the plugin, and was hoping you could update your translation for the latest release.
I was also curious if there was a reason you didn’t provide images for "Previous", "Next", and "Close".
If I don’t hear back, I’ll release with what you’ve got, but it would be great if you could add these changes!
Thanks.
April 26, 2010 at 7:34 am #7638nv1962MemberSee below – attached a zipped up file containing the updated localizations for Spanish and Dutch for WP-Slimbox2 v1.0.2 (time flies when you’re having fun…)
These are just the .po/.mo files! (I.e. given that the texts on the little image files remain unchanged, they’re [b:2rva02fm]not enclosed[/b:2rva02fm])
April 29, 2010 at 5:40 am #7639fundoMemberHi. I’m using Slimbox in my blog ” title=”Grin” />. It is http://www.mightbe.org and i’ve translated Slimbox 1.0.2 to simple Chinese. Please download and you can add zh_CN (simple chinese) support to your plugin.

April 29, 2010 at 5:50 am #7640nv1962MemberHi fundo – thanks, but you didn’t include the three image files, with the appropriate simplified Chinese for respectively "Close" "Previous" and "Next" – I have attached the three as Gimp files, named according to the English, but shown in the Spanish language, to get you started (has guides included, so you know where your text margins are).
April 30, 2010 at 4:41 am #7641fundoMemberok,completed. Plz download the package ‘2slimbox_img.rar’.

April 30, 2010 at 2:43 pm #7642malcalevakModeratorSo I wrote a lovely post, only to lose it all when I discovered I couldn’t attach a .po and it tossed the post, I’ll try and summarize what I’d said.
Thank you, fundo!
If I hadn’t been too busy, I was actually going to release an update around the same time you’d posted, that would have included a Simplified Chinese translation provided by easespot chinese Simplified finished[/url:2ej2ao43].
He didn’t provide images, so I had my brother throw together some (had to guess on the text, see attached), it looks like I have a different set of characters for ‘Close’. I don’t know if it’s correct or not. I will note that the underlining in the original images was to indicate the key to press (ie. ‘n’ for Next, ‘p’ for Previous, etc). I don’t think that works anymore after translation.
I don’t know which translation is ‘better’, but will gladly credit both of you. Would you be willing to compare both translations to see if anything he did would work better? I’ve attached the file (renamed as txt).
Regarding the question you asked in one of your images, that’s actually an ‘internal’ number from PayPal, that I’ll put in myself (or you can pull it from the attached translation).
And don’t worry about your English, it’s much better than my non-existent Chinese!
April 30, 2010 at 5:41 pm #7643fundoMember” title=”Wink” /> Aha~ After comparison,I think easespot’s edition is better.His translation is more practiced.
And my images can work well with his chinese language edition(I have tested in my localhost). I consider ‘Close’ == ‘关闒 is more suitable than ‘Close’ == ‘退出'(means Quit).U can refer to the picture below. So what i think is my images are better ” title=”Cool” />.

Finally I must say, easespot’s edition is almost perfect,u should send ur thanks to him/her!
April 30, 2010 at 5:59 pm #7644nv1962MemberI think that it would be helpful to have those three button strings as three "dummy" strings within the plugin itself for future versions – i.e. one for "Close" "Next" and "Previous" – so that in a pinch, once can copy that and create the button images without having to wait for the localizer.
” title=”Wink” />
May 1, 2010 at 7:01 pm #7645malcalevakModeratorOk, thanks for that information, fundo. I’ve gone ahead and switched his translation of "Close" to match yours, and redid the close image to match. I’ll hopefully get this release out today, or at least this weekend!
nv1962, you can sort of kind of figure that out from the various "Keys" sections, the part that matches between all 3 is the part that indicates "keys", once you cut that out, you should get your "Close" "Next" and "Previous". I guess it’s possible on rare occasion where that wouldn’t work, but for the most part I think it would.
Now to get back to incorporating the latest slimbox script into the plugin so I can release!
May 2, 2010 at 10:48 pm #7646nv1962MemberOnly if you know how to read the language… For me, e.g. Chinese (simplified or traditional) or Japanese or Hindi would all be impossible to figure out. That’s why I suggested three separate but "blind" strings, with just those three words, so as to be able to go in and fish out those three, only used for creating the corresponding images. Anyhow… It was just a suggestion, to resolve future "lack of images" situations!
