Limiting number of Dropdowns

My site is setup using a lot of parenting among the pages, and within my site navigation I don’t list all of the pages at the same time. I want to use a dropdown menu for just one of my parented pages, while including a series of links of my own choosing not just based on the fact that they are pages.

Basically I’m trying to limit the number of pages that appear on the navigation menu, using parent, secondary and external links. How would I go about doing this?

The PixoPoint menu plugin includes the ability to exclude or include specific pages from the menu. This option is available in the pull-down for the Pages menu item.
