Vertical menu slides behind page contents on products page

i recently installed the WP Shopping Cart plugin version 3.7.5 by Instinct, otherwise known as the WP e-Commerce Plugin.

the horizontal drop down menu works well on every page except the products page, where items of the drop down menu slide behind the product information.

im using:
pixopoint 0.6.15

modifications to CSS:
font color, font type & size, size of menu boxes- can’t remember much else since it was so long ago
problems with browsers:
safari 4.0.4
firefox 3.5.5
