Blog Page (categories) not displaying in drop down

I have 5 static pages and 1 is my blog

Home (static)
About the Firm (static)
Services (static)
  – Child
  – Child
Current Tax News (Blog_
– Category
– Category
Reference Links (static)
Contact Us (static)

The problem I’m having is everything works pertectly, like the sub pages drown down.  BUT for my blog page the categories do no drop down…where am i missing this setting.

I can make it drop down if I add the Blog to the end of my order and set "Categories" as a menu 2 item and use cutom title and url.

But I need it in the order listed and categories to display as a drop down

Hi,
There’s some bizarre coding errors in your HTML which are likely causing all sorts of problems.

To make the Blog link dropdown to show categories, you should exclude the Blog page from displaying in the menu and instead use the ‘Categories (single dropdown)’ option and set the URL and title for it to your blog URL and "Blog" respectively. This way your categories will show below the Blog link.
